Home surveillance systems are becoming evermore prevalent in today’s society. As with commercial and industrial surveillance systems they can be used to confirm an intruder alarm activation. Images may be viewed remotely via a dedicated broadband line, on a local area network and now even on your phone. In each case the system would be password protected.
Digital CCTV has taken over from the old video recording CCTV systems. The recording facility that we offer is called a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) which saves images to hard disc. On board the DVR is a CD or DVD burner so that should you ever need to produce an incident for evidence purposes you burn the incident to disc, or alternatively to usb stick via the onboard usb port.
The main difference between home and commercial surveillance systems is that we want to convey an air of overt security, whilst not degrading the appearance of your property.
All the equipment used is of high quality giving the clearest possible pictures to file. The DVR’s that we use record in H264 image compression which is the same standard as is used to compress DVD movies.
