About Henry Gates and Son Ltd
Henry Gates & Son Ltd is a family run business and has been since its humble beginnings before the Second World War. Back then security was not the theme of the business at all but decorating merchants. Henry Gates and Company Ltd as it was back then became a well established decorators merchants and was rewarded for this by becoming one of the first Dulux merchants in London in the early 1950's.
Henry Gates & Son Ltd was established in 1975 when Henrys son Martin started to take an active role in the day to day running of the company.
In the early 1980's Martin decided to start offering a key cutting service. From this people then started asking for locks and soon Martin had enrolled with the Mater Locksmith Association (MLA). From this the transformation into security service specialists started.
In the early 1990's Henry Gates & Son started to Install Intruder alarms and still do to a very high standard in accordance with all the European and Security Systems & Alarm Inspectorate Board (SSAIB) expectations.
Since the early 1990's when Henry Gates & Son Ltd entered the electronic security world with the Intruder alarms we have branched off into two further areas which are CCTV and Access Control.
In 2004 Henry Gates & Son Ltd closed there final shop in Palmers Green and moved business premises to home. Martin now runs the business with his wife Joy who deals with the admin side of the business. In 2005 Martin & Joy's son Brian came on board and is now an integral part of this long established family business.
